It's been too long!

Just the Facts :)

Hello everyone have taken way to long to publish a post shame on me! Things have been going very well. I have this new service that I have been using where you have a coach and you just talk about things and I feel like it has been very helpful in causing me to be more aware of things and not just going through the motions. I want to things to be more meaningful vs. just done out of habit. Work has been going very well, busy if anything. Having my boo here has been awesome we are actually going to a Twins game tonight. We will also be walking in the American Diabetes Associations Walk for a Cure tomorrow. I have raised $75 so far for that. I want to try to do better at being more up to date with utilizing this blog. That is going to be a goal of mine in moving forward.

Yeah. What She Said

Friday, July 07, 2006

I went to Phoenix for the 4th and had a blast! they actually have a soul food restuarant called Bobby C's that has free jazz (at least they did when I went Sunday night). Very cool! Had some green, potato salad, mac and cheese and corn bread...Um Um Um Holla! Need I say any more?
All my Southern bloggers and peeps that are just down need to represent on that one! It was good enough to slap somebodies momma! (Just playin don't start smacking nobodies mama saying that I told you too!)

I have already discssed the Bloggers that think they are Siskel and Ebert so I will be to the point: Superman much better than I anticipated, Nacho Libre was funny, Devil wears Prada was off the chain Meryl Streep played her role people! Also Click was good too, there are a couple of lines where he (Adam Sandler) makes comments and they have total old school references, all of you that know...will know what I mean when you hear the lines...for the rest of you will figure it out when you see the remake :-).

Checking in

What up Peeps! I know that I have been tripping on keeping my stuff up to date but I have been slammed! I just got back from a great trip in Phoenix that was off the chain! Work has been keeping me really tied up also, I am getting to the point where a lot of the training is ending and being replaced with work! I want to send shout outs to No Beth in Sarah, Princess over Everything and Lil Kat in Portland (hope your sore throat gets better!). I'll tell you the Princess over everything has a Phat crib everyone! I want to roll like she does when I grow up :-) Well I have to go into a meeting and I will try to be more on top of my updates.

My picture

For all of you that don't know my little picture to the right is an example of how I roll when I visit Texas. You know Texas is a big state so they love Big Poppa!

Now what is up with these watermelon head, subway eating, constantly showing food on their sit bloggers?! Are they hungry? I'll tell you what I am going to start a feed the big headed starving bloggers fund :) Just playing. Well it is a beautiful day in Minneapolis looking out the window from the sixth floor. It is supposed to get up to 90 this weekend! Anyone have any fun plans for the up coming weekend? I'm just glad that tomorrow is payday Friday and today I passed my written test to have my license changed to Minnesota. You would not believe all of the little rules that are in place that we never think about like: must be at least 3 feet away from a bike when passing it or a construction vehicle with an orange sign on it travels 30 mph or lower?? Just the facts baby!

Stepping out

Well It is early and I am going to step out this morning I have been looking up addresses for a local church. I think that it is a great idea to have one and also the connection to the community. I hope that everyone is doing well today it looks beautiful here this morning I am getting ready to take my puppy out for her morning stretch (she loves the walks). At my previous home I was able to let her out back in moving into this new condo it requires actually taking her out which is very cool because we both get out this way and I know she really enjoys it.

World Traveler

Some pictures from recent vacations. Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, Las Vegas, Dallas, Chicago... world traveler, baby.

This was in Chicago at my cousins Chastity's college graduation party. I'm chilling with Vanessa, who thinks she's a pimp in Calvin's truck.

Here I'm hanging out at Lake Mead in NV. I just got back from Las Vegas. While I was there, I took a quick little side trip to Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. It's so beautiful. I've got to buy me a boat and take it up to Lake Minetonka with all the rich cats!

Hanging out on the strip. I rode that rollercoaster behind me at the New York, New York Casino. I've had better. This one's got nothin on the Goliath at Six Flags Magic Mountain!

Rockin' some Aviators. Who's the pimp now?

Here I am at Hoover Dam. That was real cool.

Watch out!

It is amazing how much is involved in moving! The boxes, paper packing and unpacking it is crazy! The cool part however is meeting new people and the exploring. It is hard to believe how much is going on in Minneapolis! I imagine that a lot of the summer action is based on the long winters! People here really enjoy getting out. I just got a paper and there is a ton of stuff going on. I think that I might check out some Jazz stuff this weekend and I will have to let you know how it was. I like being able to get out and do things besides just the club scene. They even have beaches here! Anyone else doing anything interesting this weekend? Things are really starting to pick up at my new gig. I am being trained constantly which means that it will be time to step up shortly! One thing that I will say is that I work with a lot of smart people! For some that can be intimidating because your like whoa! I like it though because it causes me to step up my game. I have an awesome desk too. Whenever I look up I am right in front of the window and I can see a close sky line that includes building tops and the tops of green trees. Very cool for a temporary get away. Our building actually used to be a part of the Honeywell headquarters back in the day. Another interesting fact which I just found out is that Target actually started her in Minnesota! I had no idea and it was just a local venue that blew up into the international company that we each know it as today.

Just the facts!
